Greenhouse Renovation

When we first began planning for a community garden, we inquired into the plans for the greenhouse that was left at the original middle school. The greenhouse was turned over to the community garden and we will be using it in lessons with the Boys & Girls Club and to raise seedlings for the garden. It may also provide a source for fundraising opportunities through the sale of seedlings raised.

Seed Team Member Ann Clarke has agreed to coordinate the greenhouse project and has reached out to community experts, Chuck and Chris Stewart for assistance. The greenhouse is in operational condition but requires some repairs and clean-up. Elizabeth Fowler is performing maintenance on the greenhouse heater. Volunteers are looking forward to bringing it back to life by planting, watering, and tending plants along with help from the boys and girls at the club.
